Job Title: Banquet Houseman

Join Valor Hospitality, a leading hotel management company, as a Banquet Houseman. In this role, you will be responsible for setting, cleaning, and maintaining function rooms, service corridors, storerooms, and public function areas in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Check server's and house person's BEOs to ensure accuracy.
  • Set rooms, buffets, and tables according to BEO specifications and supervisor instructions.
  • Perform guest contact activities with a cordial, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Ensure storerooms are clean, organized, and secured.
  • Organize Banquet hall to ensure a productive, safe, and energy-conserving work environment.
  • Assist servers during service and notify supervisor of any difficulties.
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow associates.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation procedures, including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Six months hotel or convention center-banquet food/beverage services environment.
  • Experience and knowledge in all facets of banquet operations, convention services setup, and AV equipment operations preferred.
  • Able to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Able to lift, push, carry lbs. Stand continuously for long periods of time.
