Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist, also known as a Sonographer, performs a wide range of high-quality clinical ultrasound procedures, including advanced and specialized procedures in areas such as obstetrical, abdominal, vascular studies, small parts, invasive biopsies, and guidance procedures. This role requires the ability to utilize ultrasound equipment and accessories effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess independent judgment, ingenuity, advanced knowledge, and initiative, as well as the ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to work as a contributing team member, and adaptability to working independently when necessary.

Work Schedule:

This role involves on-call coverage of day/evening shifts, including some holidays.

Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited allied health program in medical sonography
  • Must be ARDMS registered
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a hospital-related setting
  • Experience in EPIC computer system
