Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Apprentice to join our team at Loves Travel Stops and Country Stores. As a Diesel Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting customers with roadside services, learning preventative maintenance services, and working in a fast-paced environment to maintain clean places with friendly faces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with roadside services and learn preventative maintenance services.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to maintain clean places with friendly faces.
  • Interact with customers and drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.
  • Learn electrical diagnostics and repairs, air conditioning and heating diagnostics and repairs, wheel end assembly diagnostics and repairs, air system diagnostics and repairs, air brakes diagnostics and repairs, charging system diagnostics and repairs, and basic computer diagnostics and auxiliary component replacement.
  • Assist with parts lookup and acquisition.
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters and work in various temperatures.
  • Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Loves).
