Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Emergency Room will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients presenting to the emergency department. This includes providing emergency nursing care for emergent, urgent, and non-urgent patients, as well as conducting research to improve practice and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice
- Perform physical exams and health histories
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education
- Administer medications and wound care
- Direct and supervise care provided by other healthcare professionals
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on scope of practice and skill level
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and react in emergency situations
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of two years' experience with at least one year in an emergency room
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification
