As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our operations departments to improve efficiency and quality in our manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:- Process Improvement: Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for improvement in our manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.
- Design and Development: Design, develop, test, and source tools, machinery, and equipment to support recommended manufacturing methods.
- Product/Process Analysis: Perform cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency analysis to optimize our manufacturing processes.
- Team Collaboration: Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Task Accomplishment: Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Pursuing a postsecondary degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Available for 20 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, between 7 AM to 4:00 PM, for at least 2 semesters.
- Understanding of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques and Quality Control processes.
- Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
- Well-organized and self-directed individual with excellent communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Visual Basics knowledge.
- Experience in 2D CAD.
