We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Port Angeles, Washington. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and collaborating with healthcare teams to obtain high-quality images.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Patient Preparation and Communication:
    • Establish strong relationships with patients and families, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the imaging process.
    • Verify patient information, preparing them for CT scans while considering their medical history, allergies, and prior imaging.
    • Position patients correctly on the CT table to obtain high-quality images, minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring patient safety.
    • Instruct patients on breathing instructions and remaining still during scans, as required by the procedure.
  • Operation of CT Equipment:
    • Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, adjusting parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols for optimal results.
    • Administer contrast agents or dye injections under physician or radiologist guidance to enhance image clarity.
    • Monitor equipment during imaging, ensuring high-quality images are captured without errors.
  • Image Quality and Review:
    • Thoroughly review CT images for quality, ensuring all required areas are captured and meeting diagnostic standards.
    • Collaborate with radiologists to ensure images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
    • Repeat or adjust scans as necessary to improve image quality or comprehensive imaging coverage.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort:
    • Foster a culture of safety, following protocols to minimize radiation exposure and maintain a sterile environment.
    • Ensure patient positioning does not pose any risk of injury or discomfort, particularly for vulnerable patients.
    • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast agents and alert healthcare providers if necessary.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine imaging procedures and diagnose medical conditions.
    • Document patient information, scan parameters, and any complications in the EHR.
    • Participate in patient care planning, discussing with the team how to approach imaging in complex cases.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot the CT scanner and associated equipment to ensure proper functioning.
    • Perform routine inspections and calibration, alerting maintenance staff to any issues.
    • Keep accurate logs of equipment use, maintenance, and repairs.

This travel assignment offers a competitive salary of approximately $92,000 - $112,000 per year, based on a 36-hour workweek and 12-hour shifts, along with a tax-free stipend.
