Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic and vascular ultrasonography procedures to provide data used by physicians in diagnosis and treatment purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts diagnostic and vascular ultrasonography procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Relays pertinent clinical information to the interpreting physician and observes patients during procedures for any abnormalities.
  • Reviews patient's chart/order/previous procedures and records information for interpreting physician viewing and accurate interpretation prior to beginning procedure.
  • Performs all procedures according to departmental policies.
  • Assists patients in assuming proper physical position and explains procedure to patients to elicit cooperation and calm apprehensions.
  • Observes display screen to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes and then saves for permanent record.

Requirements:

  • Completion of two/three years of occupationally specific education beyond high school in radiologic technology, ultrasonography, or related education.
  • ARRT, ARDMS, RDCS, Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or equivalent certification.
  • CPR certification.
