Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean resident living spaces, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff workstations, ensuring a pristine environment.
  • Execute cleaning tasks including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, and surface polishing.
  • Maintain safety and organization in all work areas and on cleaning carts.
  • Implement infection control measures and adhere to departmental and facility policies related to housekeeping duties.
  • Follow established safety protocols when handling equipment and cleaning agents, promptly reporting any hazards to a supervisor.
  • Foster positive interactions with residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
  • Restock cleaning supplies, soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper as needed throughout the facility.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept in a clean, secure, and safe condition.
  • Assist with the dining area cleanup as required.
  • Manage the washing, drying, and proper handling of residents' clothing, bedding, and facility linens.
  • Sort and categorize personal garments and linens for appropriate laundering.
  • Distribute freshly laundered linens to resident care areas using covered carts.
  • Accurately stock linen carts and closets, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all laundry containers and bins in accordance with established policies.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and departmental guidelines affecting laundry operations.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning chemicals and detergents as necessary.
  • Report any issues with laundry equipment or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.
