As a FT Dosing Nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with physicians to promote and restore patients' health. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supplying and administering medication pursuant to physician orders and recording dosage administered in the medical record.
  • Conducting daily medication inventory counts and maintaining absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication.
  • Assuming responsibility for safeguarding medication inventory and ensuring disposal of medical waste through proper protocol.
  • Receiving and verifying the accuracy of incoming medication shipments and advising necessary staff of any discrepancies.
  • Observing patients' demeanor prior to dosing and seeking guidance from the Medical Director or Registered Nurse when an issue or concern is noted.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Promptly communicating patient issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse for medical matters and to the Program Director for other matters.
  • Administering appropriate lab tests as required, including patient vital signs, TB tests when required, and collecting data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
  • Scheduling and screening patients to be seen by the Medical Director and assisting in collecting data for the history and physical as required.
  • Maintaining absolute control, tracking, and confidentiality of all patient medical paperwork and complying with federal and state privacy rules.

Requirements:

  • Active nursing license in the state in which the clinic is located.
  • Minimum of 1-year direct patient contact experience.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.

  • Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise.
