In a medical environment, undertakes a range of patient service, administrative tasks, and general office responsibilities. Ensures the smooth operation of patient escorts, communication, and other materials; welcomes and directs visitors, while upholding the integrity of the workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes patient service, administrative tasks, and general office duties.
  • Oversees the seamless flow of patient escorts, correspondence, and related materials.
  • Maintains the workspace environment to ensure a professional atmosphere.
  • Adheres to HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Engages in special projects as assigned.
  • Responds to general inquiries.
  • Welcomes and directs patients upon arrival.
  • Handles phone calls and performs reception duties.
  • Responsibilities may include maintaining and purging files, photocopying, sorting and distributing mail, and retrieving medical records.
  • Conducts light typing and data entry tasks.
Qualifications:

Requires:
  • A minimum of 1 year of office experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Formal training in secretarial skills is preferred.
