The Housekeeping Associate at SpringHill Suites Cheraw will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel's public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.

This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality industry, located in a hotel environment.

The individual in this role will work independently to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and organization in the hotel, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms, to ensure a comfortable and welcoming stay for guests
  • Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including the lobby, hallways, and restrooms, to ensure a clean and inviting atmosphere for guests
  • Ensure all back-of-house areas, such as storage rooms and laundry rooms, are kept clean and organized
  • Restock and organize housekeeping carts and closets to ensure efficient and timely completion of room cleaning
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, ensuring their needs are met and any issues are resolved
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting spaces and banquet rooms for events and meetings
  • Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and employees
  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
  • Adhere to brand standards and hotel policies at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the hotel

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial position, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different cleaning techniques and products
