Job Summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented DC Operations Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our DC departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to DC departments, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Assist the DC manager with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and coordination of inbound freight.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including UPS/RPS log books and audit entries.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including keypunching, filing, and answering phones.
  • Assist with production of weekly reports and publications.
  • Serve as a backup for immediate supervisor, taking on various tasks as needed to maintain the operation of the distribution center.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Proficient in ten-key, data entry, and mid-range computer systems
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple tasks at one time and prioritize accordingly
  • Proficient in PC basic programs for word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in AS400 programs and system operations
  • 2+ years' experience in the automotive industry or warehouse operations
  • Previous clerical experience
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
