About the Role

The Diagnostic Imaging Assistant On-call Day Shift is a critical member of our team, responsible for assisting and directing patients while retrieving, organizing, and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS).

This role requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to interact with multiple departments, office staff, physicians, and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with retrieving, organizing, and inputting digital images and/or exam information into EMS
  • Interact with multiple departments, office staff, physicians, and patients
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and physical anatomy
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in the medical field or equivalent education/experience
  • 1 year medical and/or clerical experience or successful completion of a Providence Internship
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and physical anatomy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy
  • Diagnostic Imaging experience
  • Electronic Medical Records System experience
