Lead Veterinary Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team at Renton Veterinary Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and mentoring junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage medication inventory, technician appointments, and patient assessments.
  • Monitor anesthesia and document patient care according to AAHA guidelines.
  • Assist with surgical procedures, dentistry, radiology, and laboratory work.
  • Provide training and support to new staff members on patient handling skills and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, and Medical Director to implement protocols and improve patient care.
Requirements:
  • Active Veterinary Technician License in Washington State.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • Experience with Avimark software and leadership roles.
  • FearFree Certified and High School Diploma.
  • Reliable transportation.
