Position Overview:
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Your expertise will ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
As an IR Technologist, your duties will include:
1. Verifying patient identity and reviewing imaging requests.
2. Explaining procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support.
3. Assisting in the preparation and execution of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
4. Monitoring patients during all procedures to ensure their safety.
5. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of radiation protection standards and techniques.
6. Maintaining accurate patient records and utilizing the McKesson PACS system effectively.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and AART National certifications.
- A Certificate in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (VI) or Cardiac-interventional Radiology (CI), along with any necessary state-specific licensing.

Physical Requirements:
IR Technologists should be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, as well as bending and stooping as needed. A solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential for success in this role.
