Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Estate Planning and Trust Attorney to become a vital part of our esteemed legal team.
This permanent role presents a unique chance to engage with intricate and stimulating trust and estate issues.
The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of our clients' estate planning requirements, from formulating wills and trusts to providing counsel on tax strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Estate Planning and Trust Attorney, your responsibilities will include: 1.
Drafting, reviewing, and modifying a variety of estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
- Advising clients on the legal and tax ramifications of their estate planning decisions.
- Assisting clients with philanthropic planning, including the establishment and management of charitable trusts and foundations.
- Creating tax strategies to minimize estate, gift, and income taxes for clients.
- Representing clients in probate court proceedings and trust administration matters.
- Staying informed about changes in tax and estate planning laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess: 1. A Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- An LLM in Tax or an equivalent advanced legal degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estate Planning and Trust Attorney.
- In-depth knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, probate, and tax law.
- Demonstrated experience with philanthropic planning and tax strategies.
- Strong drafting abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
