Job Summary

Developmental Services, Inc. - Columbus is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to clients, promoting independence and self-direction.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating client goals and preferences.
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as feeding, hygiene, and toileting.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or physical condition.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and CPI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
