Job Overview:

The Senior Industrial Engineer plays a crucial role in leading the industrialization efforts for new programs within the Cabin division. This position involves:

1. **Leadership and Direction:** Guiding teams and providing solutions to intricate challenges related to Cabin industrialization deliverables.

2. **Industrialization Planning:** Developing and implementing comprehensive industrialization strategies that align with Cabin standards and project objectives.

3. **Documentation Management:** Creating and refining production documentation, including Manufacturing Bills of Materials, Routers, and Standardized Work Instructions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

4. **Technical Collaboration:** Offering significant technical input to both Design and Manufacturing teams to establish optimal production methodologies for various product types.

5. **Design Feedback:** Collaborating with the Design group to address complex issues, applying DFMA principles to suggest alternative designs.

6. **Tooling and Prototyping:** Overseeing the execution of plans for the design, manufacturing, and deployment of new tools or prototypes from tooling engineering teams.

7. **Performance Metrics:** Establishing and maintaining industrialization metrics in accordance with Cabin's standard KPIs, regularly communicating performance updates.

8. **Risk Management:** Analyzing and managing risks associated with industrial processes and products during development phases.

9. **Lean Principles:** Advocating for and implementing Lean methodologies at a Black Belt level or equivalent.

10. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company standards for production lines.

11. **Manufacturing Oversight:** Managing machining and assembly lines, including BOM creation and layout concepts.

12. **Training and Development:** Providing guidance and training to junior engineers as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a highly regulated engineering design or production environment, including at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.

Skills:
  • Proficient with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 & Smarteam
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced expertise in CATIA V5 & Smarteam
  • Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with aircraft OEMs
  • Deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes used in aerospace
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and models
  • Experience with various LEAN tools
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively across functions
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of primary processes such as CNC machining and composite layup
  • Green Belt Certification
