Position Title: Bilingual Special Education Instructor (Full-Time)
Role Summary: In this collaborative role, you will partner with general education instructors to deliver specialized support both within and outside the mainstream classroom. Your contribution is vital in ensuring that students with moderate disabilities receive the personalized attention and resources necessary for their academic and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Teaching: Work alongside general education teachers to co-instruct 5th-grade students, incorporating special education methodologies and supports into the learning environment.
- Individualized Support: Deliver tailored instruction to students with moderate disabilities, both in small groups and one-on-one settings.
- Curriculum Development: Engage in lesson planning and curriculum design to address the diverse needs of all students.
- Student Progress Tracking: Continuously evaluate and monitor student performance, adapting instructional strategies and support as necessary.
- IEP Support: Assist in the execution of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with the special education team to ensure compliance and facilitate student achievement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Special Education/Moderate Disabilities.
- Special Education licensure in Massachusetts.
- Bilingual capabilities.
- Preferred experience with 5th-grade students.
