Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies using a magnetic resonance device. This includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, performing computer processing, and displaying images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for MRI studies, including positioning and setting imaging parameters
  • Perform quality assurance scans as required and record results
  • Insert IV catheters as needed and perform point of care testing
  • Instruct patients and visitors in MR safety procedures
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices by all persons entering the MRI area
  • Review outpatient and/or inpatient schedules to confirm exams have been protocoled and reviewed for potential contra-indications
  • Act as final check point for patient safety and protocol clarification
  • Communicate with Radiologist for protocol clarification when necessary
  • Use designated department protocols and report issues to site supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Manager
  • Assist in the instruction of visitors and medical staff rotating through the area
  • Mentor new staff and fellow technologists as necessary

Requirements:

  • ARRT (MR) certification
  • Completion of a Medical Imaging Program
  • BLS certification
  • Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English
