Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing work orders at an above-average level, maintaining properties, and ensuring mechanical equipment is safe, attractive, and functional. You will also be required to respond to after-hour or emergency calls within one hour of receiving notification.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect grounds, buildings, garages, parking areas, structures, roofs, stairwells, common areas, storage areas, and other critical areas daily.
- Complete periodic inspections of all tenant spaces as determined by the manager.
- Perform routine visual inspections of company vehicles, equipment, and supplies and report issues to the property manager.
- Maintain building equipment logs to ensure all information is correct and up-to-date.
- Treat company and building tools with respect and care to prolong their useful life.
- Maintain electrical, mechanical, and storage areas in a clean and organized fashion or as required by building code.
- Report any tenant complaints or issues to the property manager immediately.
- Complete all work orders and service calls in a timely manner.
- Respond to after-hour or emergency calls within one hour of receiving notification.
- Be polite and respectful to building personnel and tenants.
- Adhere to corporate uniform policy at all times.
- Communicate and update work order systems. Maintain daily logs of maintenance activities.
- Complete all corrective and preventative maintenance as required or requested.
- Assist on-site teams in various tasks as called upon.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical (low and high voltage), plumbing, HVAC (including Air Handlers), VAV boxes and associated controls, temperature control work, pneumatics and control work, EMS, motors, lighting, fire alarm systems, and lamp and ballast replacement.
- Ability to perform all general maintenance work.
- High school diploma.
- Trade school or related experience in the above fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance preferred.
- Background check, MVR check, and drug screen required.
