Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN - Neurology Specialist to join our team at Prokatchers LLC.

Job Summary

This is a 13-week contract position with a 36-hour workweek, offering a competitive salary of $2,370.00 per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Neurology and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervene when necessary.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.
  • Inform patient and family of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in a Neurology Unit.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
  • NIHSS certification.
