Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant II at Penn State Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Medical Oncology Clinic. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Assist with patient intake, registration, and scheduling, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, working closely with our healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and individualized care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions to enhance patient care and clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred.
  • One year of experience as a certified medical assistant in a clinic or acute care setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
