Position Overview:

We are looking for dedicated candidates to fill the role of Security Officer I within our Memorial City Mall Security team.

This role is essential for maintaining safety in designated areas of the mall, performing regular patrols, and delivering outstanding service to our visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to our clients and guests.
  • Conduct routine patrols both inside and outside the premises, addressing any security or maintenance issues promptly.

  • Utilize de-escalation techniques and effective communication to manage conflicts with diverse groups.
  • Respond to incidents and document them accurately in our Incident Management System.
  • Understand and implement Post Orders, Emergency Plans, and Incident Action Plans.
  • Identify and report potential threats, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; passing a Motor Vehicle Records check is required.

  • Undergo a background investigation in compliance with all applicable laws, including a drug screening.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Non-Commissioned Security Officer, Level II certification for the State of Texas; training will be provided.

  • Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and assist during emergencies.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Complete the Security Program's new-hire training within one month of employment.
  • Pass First-Aid/AED training within the first year (provided by the employer).
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms, including radio communication.

  • Maintain composure under pressure.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Exercise sound judgment and initiative.
  • Enjoy collaborating with diverse groups in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and basic computer software is preferred.
