Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality care to residents of Twin Lakes Community, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can build meaningful relationships with residents and support their daily needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Hygiene: Assist residents with personal hygiene and care needs, including grooming, hygiene, dining, and mobility.
  • Restorative Therapy: Provide restorative therapy under the guidance of therapy professionals and in accordance with residents' functional maintenance plans.
  • Observation and Reporting: Observe residents closely, identifying changing needs and conditions, and report immediately to nursing staff.
  • Advocacy and Support: Serve as residents' closest advocate, directing their care and honoring their preferences.
  • Social Activities and Events: Plan and organize social activities for individual residents, small groups, and the household, ensuring success and resident satisfaction.
  • Household Maintenance: Maintain clean spaces, including resident rooms, common areas, and support spaces, and ensure a safe and efficient household environment.
  • Supply Management: Maintain a supply of materials to meet residents' needs and support household activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with household team members, led by resident and family preference, to meet the needs and desires of all household residents.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of a state-approved program for nursing assistants, competency evaluated, tested, and registered with the state. High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility and dementia experience.
