**Job Summary:**

AvaMed Workforce is seeking an experienced Primary Care Physician to fill a Part-Time assignment at the correctional facility in Wasco, CA. The successful candidate will have Family Medicine or Internal Medicine board certification and experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality medical services to patients at the correctional facility.
  • Adhere to CDCR/CCHCS medical staff by-laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that medications prescribed are on the CDCR's formulary unless prior authorization is given by the Institution/Facility's CEO/CME or designee.

Compensation and Benefits:

The hourly rate is $220-$225 per hour, with a flexible schedule working Tuesday to Thursday from 7am-3pm, and occasional on-call duties.

Requirements:

  • Family Medicine or Internal Medicine board certification.
  • Experience working in a correctional facility or similar setting.
