Job Summary

As a Nursing Supervisor - Health and Wellness Coordinator at Vista Springs Living, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general supervision and care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and tending to their individual needs.
  • Review and implement resident care plans, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
  • Administer medications to residents according to their care plans and record in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Order and reorder medications as needed, maintaining accurate records and ensuring a smooth supply chain.
  • Respond to resident calls, door alarms, and fire alarms, providing timely assistance and support.
  • Assist residents with turning, repositioning, moving in and out of bed, toileting, and personal hygiene, including monitoring bowel and bladder incontinence.
  • Observe and report resident behavior and condition changes, communicating with the Health and Wellness Director as needed.
  • Complete daily charting and documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist and encourage residents to eat and take sufficient fluids and snacks, promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
  • Display a caring, respectful, and positive attitude when interacting with residents, family members, and colleagues.
  • Understand and comply with universal precautions, infection control, isolation, fire, safety, and sanitation practices and procedures.

Requirements
  • Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse with medication certification program.
  • At least 1 year of experience in medication administration.
  • Basic knowledge of operating a computer and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows environment.
  • First aid and CPR training.
  • Ability to use telephone, fax machine, copy machine, and medical equipment as needed.
