As a Surgical Technologist I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical care to our patients. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgeon during operative procedures, maintaining a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room area.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized Operating Room environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program, with national certification in surgical technology preferred.
- At least 5 consecutive years of training or experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification highly preferred.
- Oklahoma LPN license required if applicable.
This is a regular full-time position, working Monday-Friday, with 4, 10-hour shifts per week. The work shift is day, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth within the Norman Regional Health System.
