Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping/Receiving/Material Handling Supervisor to join our team at Robinson Services. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Maintain Safety Procedures: Develop and implement all safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and company standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Lead and Develop a Cross-Functional Team: Guide and instruct the team on day-to-day activities, assign tasks, and motivate team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with various departments within the organization to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and inform management of any equipment, performance, product quality, safety, and employee relations issues.
  • Coordinate Logistics and Supply Chain: Arrange necessary materials, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations, and work with project managers to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Manage Inventory and Transactions: Responsible for the accuracy of receipts, shipments, and all other transactions in the ERP system, including rectifying discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and Implement Process Improvements: Evaluate and lead process change within the Shipping/Receiving & Material Handling team, and throughout the organization, to increase material flow and on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), prior experience as a leader in shipping, receiving, material handling, or a similar manufacturing environment, and 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Ability to operate a forklift in conjunction with all safety rules and regulations, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize work, and excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
