Our team has launched two satellites, signed commercial deals worth over $1 billion, raised $500 million, and recruited over 300 world-class engineers. We work out of our San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.


Our satellites operate from geostationary orbit, weigh 400 kg, and can connect over 2 million people. We're excited about the impact we'll have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more.

Internship Opportunity


Internships at Astranis typically last 12 weeks and are hourly roles for students enrolled at a four-year university.


As an Intern, you'll have the chance to work on hard problems and contribute to meaningful projects. Many past interns have designed and tested hardware/software that's heading to space on our first satellite.


Role and Responsibilities


Design and implement UI components and backend workflows of Satellite network management software.


Work closely with network operations teams to create software that helps build and manage Satellite and ground Networks.


Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design.



  1. Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  2. Experience with Django or similar frameworks
  3. Experience working with relational/SQL databases (e.g. Postgres)
  4. Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing user interface concepts with focus on overall user experience
  5. Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch
  6. US Citizenship or Green Card
  7. 40 hours per week minimum
  8. Must be onsite in San Francisco 3 days a week minimum

Base Pay


The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.
