Job Title: Water Resources Team Leader

Halff is seeking an experienced Water Resources Team Leader to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our water resources practice, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring staff to ensure successful project delivery and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor staff to ensure successful project delivery and operational performance.
  • Oversee the delivery of complex water resources projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts, cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, and assisting in strategic planning for market growth.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and clients, applying expertise in designing drainage systems and performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using riverine and stormwater models.
  • Adapt strategic plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges, collaborating with Directors and Operations Managers to align team efforts with broader company goals.
  • Foster an environment of continuous professional development by coaching staff, providing opportunities for growth, and ensuring the team stays at the forefront of industry trends and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Water Resources project delivery.
  • PE license in the State of Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Technical experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GIS, and 2D Modeling software packages (ICM, HEC-RAS 2D, etc.).
  • Proficient in project management, administration, and supervision of technical staff.
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven business development experience.
  • Positive attitude, self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity, and success.
