Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. This is a full-time position working Sunday through Thursday, 6am to 2pm.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Sunrise Senior Living policies.
- Medication Management: Review, read, and document medication administration records, including daily logs and medication updates from the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
- Resident Care: Provide resident care while promoting dignity and physical safety, adhering to Sunrise Senior Living's Principles of Service.
- Risk Management and General Safety: Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act requirements, promoting risk management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
- Maintain certifications, including CPR and First Aid.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
