Role Summary: The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing patients with respiratory issues and performing diagnostic evaluations. Collaborating with physicians, the therapist develops and executes tailored treatment plans. The role also involves administering physiotherapy and educating patients on medication usage.
Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services.
Employment Classification: Non-exempt
Essential Qualifications:
Educational Background:Associate's degree is mandatory.
Key Skills:
Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently are essential. The candidate must thrive in high-pressure environments and respond appropriately to challenges.
Licensure and Certifications:
Must possess CRT or RRT AZ State License upon hire.
NBRC certification is required at the time of hiring.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
