Job Title: Level II NDT Inspector

At HEICO Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level II NDT Inspector to join our team at Aircraft Technology, Inc. (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of Non-Destructive Tests, including liquid penetrant and radiography, to ensure the quality and integrity of aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and complete process controls for penetrant inspection, including proper lighting, temperatures, and system performance evaluations.
  • Process parts through the complete penetrant inspection cycle.
  • Interpret process procedures, specifications, and evaluation techniques specific to liquid penetrant inspection.
  • Document liquid penetrant inspection results.
  • Develop inspection techniques based on processing procedures, codes, specifications, and other relevant data.
  • Complete and interpret process controls for radiographic inspection, including x-ray tube warm-up procedures, densitometer calibration, and film storage.
  • Set up and operate radiation generating devices, including x-ray machines, and process parts through the complete radiographic inspection cycle.
  • Interpret process procedures, specifications, and evaluation techniques specific to radiographic inspection.
  • Interpret radiographic film and document inspection results.
  • Develop inspection techniques based on processing procedures, codes, specifications, and other relevant data.
  • Ensure all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with FAA-approved data and applicable manufacturer's maintenance manual.
  • Document all actions correctly and completely for the appropriate maintenance forms.
  • Maintain test areas in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring tools and equipment are properly calibrated as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.
  • At least two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Level I and II NDT certification in Liquid Penetrant and Radiography.
  • ASNT IRRSP Radiation Safety Certification.
  • ASNT Liquid Penetrant Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Language/Communication Skills: English, with the ability to read and interpret documents, and excellent communication skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic mathematics.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with the scope and limitations of liquid penetrant and radiographic inspection methods.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
