Position Overview:
The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist plays a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in children. This position involves collaborating with patients and their families to provide education and support throughout the therapeutic process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and maintain high standards of care in all clinical services.
  • Document patient progress and adhere to all regulatory and departmental guidelines.
  • Provide mentorship and training to colleagues, students, and new staff members.
  • Engage in effective communication with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to foster a supportive environment.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative patient care discussions.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Speech Pathologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including word processing and email.
  • Current certificate of clinical competence in Speech Language Pathology.
Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Experience working in a hospital environment.
  • Familiarity with the specific needs of the pediatric population.
Physical Demands:
The role requires various physical activities, including hearing, lifting, manual dexterity, and mobility tasks such as standing, walking, and kneeling.
