The Surgical Technologist Aide plays a critical role in ensuring the success of surgical procedures by providing assistance with setup and preparation, maintaining asepsis, and supporting the perioperative care team. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble equipment and supplies according to physician preference cards for surgical cases.
  • Contribute to the clean up of the operating room following surgery, adhering to established protocols for disposal, cleaning, and decontamination.
  • Support the circulating nurse in preparing the patient for surgery, positioning the patient, and moving the patient to and from the operating table.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Surgical Technologist Aide at Mountain View Hospital, you must possess excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently in a dynamic environment, and demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Current enrollment in a Surgical Technology Program or equivalent experience is preferred.
