Job Summary

Muskegon Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Microbiology Instructor to join our faculty team. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students, fostering a supportive learning environment, and contributing to the college's mission of promoting student success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in Microbiology, including day, night, and online classes, at the main campus and extension centers.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
  • Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours or by appointment.
  • Grading assignments in a timely manner, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other college-wide initiatives.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's Degree in Biology or a related subject area, or 18 credits in the specific discipline. Teaching experience at the college level is preferred. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively with diverse populations, and have experience with instructional technology.
