About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled HVAC Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced technicians and gain hands-on experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service, as well as other work assigned by the Employer, at the respective apprentice rate of pay.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems, respond to basic warranty calls, and keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment, commercial or residential.
  • Ability to perform general building maintenance.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to commit to required Union training.
  • Ability to be on-call as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • EPA Refrigeration certification a plus.
