Position Overview:

As the Manager of Innovation Engineering, you will report directly to the Global Research Director. This role entails overseeing the research team in Bolingbrook, spearheading research initiatives, and developing and testing innovative product concepts and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research division
  • Offer technical direction to engineering staff
  • Manage project resources effectively
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and develop prototypes
  • Formulate and implement strategic objectives
  • Supervise the construction and evaluation of prototypes
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Engage with industry associations
  • Provide research assistance to Sales and Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with suppliers on emerging technologies
  • Facilitate technology transfer to the New Product Development team
  • Enhance the skills of team members

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Over 10 years of experience in engineering design
  • In-depth technical expertise in High Voltage, High Power, Mechanical, and Electrical systems
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and design evaluation
  • Capability to compose and revise technical documentation
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
