About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cemetery Maintenance Worker to join our team at the City of Huntsville, AL. As a Cemetery Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our cemeteries, ensuring they are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cemetery grounds, including mowing, pruning, and trimming vegetation
  • Operate small to medium-sized equipment, such as tractors and mowers
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Perform minor repairs on equipment and cemetery infrastructure
  • Assist with special events and ceremonies as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some experience in grounds maintenance or construction work
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Class B CDL desirable
