Supervision:
This position does not have any direct reports.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Custodian is responsible for performing a variety of general cleaning tasks under close supervision. Duties include cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure a safe and clean environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain cleanliness by dusting and wiping down surfaces.
2. Sweep, mop, or vacuum floors as required.
3. Empty and sanitize waste receptacles and trash bins.
4. Clean and disinfect restrooms following established protocols.
5. Replenish restroom supplies as needed.
6. Assist in setting up spaces for meetings and events.
7. Adhere to safety instructions regarding the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
8. Clean windows and blinds as needed.
9. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to effectively use a variety of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
Interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.

EDUCATION:
No specific educational requirements.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver's License may be required based on local regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Employees must be able to perform the following physical activities for extended periods:
- Maneuvering throughout the worksite
- Standing and walking
- Bending, kneeling, reaching, and stooping
- Lifting items weighing up to 35 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Pushing or pulling cleaning equipment
- Climbing ladders or step stools

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role is performed in various settings, including office environments and client locations. Employees may encounter exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise from equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor temperatures.
