Senior Architectural Drafting Specialist

At Lockheed Architectural Solutions, Inc., we are seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team in Pascoag, RI. This full-time position involves creating shop drawings for new construction and renovation projects.

• Utilize computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software to create and revise drawings, with a focus on shop production drawings.
• Transform contract documents and specifications into layouts and details, showcasing your attention to detail and drafting skills.
• Provide additional design and drafting support as needed, demonstrating your versatility and commitment to the project's success.
• Rigorously review engineering drawings/documents and make revisions accordingly, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and/or Project Designers to achieve project goals.
• Create designs from concepts, ideas, or rough sketches while adhering to drafting standards.

• A minimum of an associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting/design, preferably in the architectural field.
• A background in architectural engineering or construction management is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word/Excel is essential.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience in commercial applications of fenestration products is preferred but not required.
• Strong math skills and excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication.
• Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures is a must.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and efficiently schedule/manage time.
