Job Title: Rail Vehicle Electrical Specialist

SEPTA is seeking a skilled Rail Vehicle Electrical Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, diagnosing, rating, and repairing rail vehicle systems, including electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test rail vehicle systems to identify faults and defects
  • Analyze and diagnose system failures to determine root cause
  • Repair and replace faulty components and systems
  • Work with technical documents, specifications, and drawings to complete tasks
  • Interpret circuit configurations, software, and hardware diagrams to identify system faults
  • Perform system analysis and data dumps to portable and desktop computers
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two-year technical school or relevant experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair
  • Practical experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair to component level
  • Ability to work independently in a high-voltage environment
  • Valid driver's license required
