We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Handler to join our team in Harvard, Illinois. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of products through our warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management and distribution, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They will also possess a high level of physical fitness and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position, working approximately 30 hours per week. The estimated salary for this role is $17.40 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay. In addition, employees receive a premium bonus on Sundays.

Responsibilities:
  • Unload merchandise from trailers, lifting cartons and products, checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Stack and load cartons and containers for outbound shipment; stock shelves with goods received.
  • Maintain and verify records of goods received or shipped to ensure smooth flow of merchandise through the distribution center.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move merchandise, utilizing hand tools, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.
  • Select and pick products for shipment from computerized store order requests, matching inventory to order numbers.
  • Prepare merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machines or other devices.
  • Use mobile handheld or hands-free RF devices to scan and track materials.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of experience in Distribution, Warehouse, Supply Chain, or similar industry
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance
