We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Geographic Information Science Instructor to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As an Adjunct Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of Geographic Information Science.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in Geographic Information Science, including GIS, cartography, and spatial analysis.
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and outcomes.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career paths.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Geographic Information Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program assessments and evaluations.
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Science, Geology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Geographic Information Science, including teaching and research experience.
- Experience with GIS software and technologies, including ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
