Job Overview

The AdvantaClean Field Service Technician is responsible for providing essential services such as mold remediation, air duct and dryer vent cleaning, HVAC coil cleaning, emergency water damage recovery, and the installation of moisture control solutions in residential and commercial properties.

Field Service Technicians operate under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Crew Supervisor, or Project Manager, working collaboratively within a team environment. Tasks are assigned by the Supervisor and contribute to the overall success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform light demolition and removal of finished building materials.
  • Conduct project cleanup, including bagging and disposing of debris into designated collection bins or vehicles.
  • Utilize water collection vacuums or pumps to remove standing water from affected areas.
  • Engage in detailed cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, brushing, and damp wiping of surfaces and contents.
  • Install plastic barriers using mechanical fasteners, tape, and adhesives as needed.
  • Set up and adjust equipment for drying or filtration processes.
  • Clean HVAC systems and air ducts using specialized vacuums and tools.
  • Perform physical tasks such as squatting, crawling, and ladder work to access all areas of a property.
  • Safely operate power tools including drills, saws, and other equipment.
  • Follow safe lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing practices.
  • Adhere to proper chemical storage, labeling, and usage protocols.
Qualifications:
  • No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Experience in home services or construction is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices is beneficial.
  • Must demonstrate self-motivation and initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent customer service abilities are required.
  • Basic proficiency in PC operations is expected.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are important.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 lbs is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
