Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Wm. S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for providing professional care and technical expertise in the operation of imaging equipment, including MRI and CT scanners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement radiation protection standards and devices to ensure patient safety
  • Coordinate and perform complex imaging procedures, including positioning patients for a wide variety of studies
  • Evaluate and adapt quality management procedures and processes as needed
  • Demonstrate understanding of VA and national guidelines pertaining to department operations, including database security
  • Maintain accurate records for quality assurance and quality control purposes
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Completion of a full-time training course in diagnostic radiologic technology, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Certification by the ARRT in MRI
