Echocardiography Technologist

Sovah Health Danville is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures under the general guidance of physicians/providers.
Key Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, and organize work area to ensure efficient workflow.
- Receive patients, explain the method of procedure, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities, and maintain accurate records.
- Assure appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures, and verify patient identification before performing any procedure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonographic Technology required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
- The American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registry (ARDMS) certification required within one year of hire.
