Key Responsibilities:
The CT Imaging Specialist will exemplify professionalism and service excellence while performing the following duties:
  • Acquire necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for specific procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain sterility of the field and instruments.
  • Prepare requisitions accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety while ensuring privacy and dignity.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect patient confidentiality.
  • Verify patient identification in line with organizational policies.
  • Monitor patient conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting any sudden changes to nursing staff and radiologists.
  • Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, lab results, and patient history.
  • Initiate emergency response protocols in case of complications.
  • Maintain adequate linen and contrast media supplies in each scanning room.
  • Participate in daily inventory and restocking of supplies.
  • Notify leadership of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
  • Engage in routine cleaning of the CT gantry, table, and peripheral equipment after each use.

Patient Care and Coordination:
As a key member of the healthcare team, the specialist will:
  • Triage procedures based on daily schedules.
  • Ensure timely coordination of emergency and unscheduled procedure requests.
  • Assign staff to optimize workflow while maintaining patient safety.
  • Communicate with all departments regarding patient status.
  • Facilitate immediate patient transport post-procedure.
  • Assist in performing routine procedures and assess patient tolerance for contrast.
  • Screen for allergies and medication incompatibilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the working area.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to quality assurance and quality control requirements.

Qualifications:
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Experience in emergency response and venipuncture.
