We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing procedures and assisting radiologists in interpreting images.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide safe and effective care to patients during imaging procedures, utilizing age-appropriate techniques and following established protocols.
- Imaging Procedures: Perform imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography, under the direction of radiologists and following established protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment, including maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including quality control checks and peer review, to ensure high-quality imaging results.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology preferred.
- Experience: None required; prior experience in radiologic technology or a related field preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified in radiography from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations.
